RE : New Editor-in-Chief for Asia Mindanaw

I am
happy to announce the appointment of MR
GERALD JAMES Y EBAL
as Editor-in-Chief of Asia Mindanaw, AdZU’s multi-disciplinary, peer-reviewed journal that brings to
light Peace and Development issues on Mindanao through scholarly pursuits.

 Mr
Ebal has been the Managing Editor of Asia Mindanaw (since 2012) and of the
Journal
of Multidisciplinary Studies (since 2009), a member of the Jesuit Higher
Education Commission (JHEC) Committee on Journal Publication (since 2012), and
a member of the AdZU Ethics Review Committee (since 2013). He has a master’s
degree in Social and Community Psychology from Ateneo de Manila University
(2006) and is a certified Social Psychologist recognized by the Psychological
Association of the Philippines (PAP).

 I
thank Mr Ebal for his availability and generosity of service. I also thank
DR ROBERT V PANAGUITON for
having served as Editor-in-Chief for three years (2014-2017), and DR TERESITA G MONTAÑO for overseeing
the journal in her capacity as Director of the Ateneo Research Center
(ARC).

 With
this change in leadership and in line with our new five-year University Strategic
Plan, Asia Mindanaw’s purpose, direction and structure will be reviewed. The
outcome shall be communicated to the community in the future.
