MEMO TO: THE ATENEO COMMUNITY
RE: NEW ADZU BOARD OF TRUSTEES
I am pleased to inform you that in the AdZU Board of Trustee (BOT) meeting last Saturday, we appointed Dr Alejandrino J Ferreria as the new AdZU BOT member to replace Professor Jacinto C Gavino DPA (also Vice Chairman of the AdZU BOT) whose term ended upon the appointment of his successor. Dr Ferreria’s term as AdZU BOT member begins this year until 2014.
Dr Ferreria holds a doctorate in Educational Management from the National University of Singapore. He is currently the President of The One School (TOS) and Director of the Asian Center for Entrepreneurship and Management (ACEME).
The two new AdZU BOT Jesuit members are Fr Joel E Tabora SJ, President-elect of Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU), and Fr Roberto C Yap SJ, President-elect of Xavier University (XU). They replaced Fr Antonio S Samson SJ, outgoing AdDU President, and Fr Jose Ramon T Villarin SJ, incoming AdMU President.
I would like to thank Dr Ferreria, Fr Tabora and Fr Yap for their availability and dedication to assist our university. In the same way, I wish to thank Dr Gavino for his 9 years of service as a member of the AdZU Board, Fr Samson for his 24 years with us and Fr Villarin for his 12 years in the AdZU BOT.
