Grade School Launches Clubs, Organizations
The Ateneo de Zamboanga University Grade School (ADZU GS) launched the Interest Clubs and Organizations at the Ateneo Brebeuf Gymnasium, July 20.
The Glee Club started the launching with a prayer and the singing of the National Anthem which was followed by the singing of the Zamboanga Hermosa led by Mrs. Rossini Gregorio. Mrs. Pilar C. Agraviador, Grade School Principal, gave the words of welcome.
The Dance Club moderators and students entertained the audience with their intermission number followed by the overview of the students’ activity program which was read by Mrs. Marilou Drapiza, Office of Students Services (OSS) Director.
The Sing and Play Instruments Club gave an intermission number as well before Mrs. Tricia Mae Manulong, Center for Performing Visual Arts (CPVA) Director, introduced the guest speaker.
Miss Janine Cabato, the guest speaker, a Grade School alumna, gave her thoughts and tips about choosing and joining the right club. Cabato stressed that the students should choose the club not because their friends are there but because they have the skills that need to be honed in their choice of club.
After the program, the students proceeded to the booth of their chosen club and registered.
