MEMO TO : THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY
RE :EID AL-FITR MESSAGE
On Monday the 26th of June,
our Muslim brothers and sisters will celebrate Eid al-Fitr (festival of
breaking of the fast), or locally known as Hariraya Puasa. This is an important
religious holiday occasion observed by Muslims all over the world which marks
the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting and spiritual cleansing.
As we extend our heartfelt
greetings to our Muslim brothers and sisters in the community, in the country
and all over the world, let us remember to pray for the people of Marawi, for
the Armed Forces of the Philippines, and for the relief workers.
We offer prayers for peace,
solidarity, and goodwill. We pray for God’s mercy and love, for the resolution
of the armed conflict, and for the end of sufferings of those affected.
