College Recognition Day

The Office of the Director for Student Affairs of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University recently held the College Recognition Day for AY 2011-2012 at the Campion Lecture Hall, August 24, Friday.

Academic Vice-President Dr. Rebecca V. Fernandez in her welcome address extolled the awardees to uphold the values so cherished by the Ateneo community –excellence, spirituality and citizenship. The similar theme was reinforced by no less than University President Fr. Antonio F. Moreno, SJ in his message, citing the awardees achievements as testament of the holistic formation that is an Atenean trademark.

Ms. Estesa Xaris Q. Legaspi, director of the College Guidance and Counseling Office led in the awarding of the recipients for individual awards in the fields of peace, performing arts, fine arts, journalism and literary works. The names of those who excelled in debate, academic competitions and sports were honored in the awarding segment led by Mr. Conrado Z. Balatbat, director of the Office for Scholarships.
