MEMO TO: THE ATENEO COMMUNITY
RE: COLLEGE ADMISSIONS AND AID OFFICE
I wish to inform our community that after consulting parties concerned, I am merging the Admissions Office and Scholarships Office effective 01 April 2013. It shall be known as the College Admissions and Aid Office. The functions of this office are mainly two-fold: 1) promotion of AdZU, recruitment and acceptance of students, organization of the Ateneo Senior Summer Program (ASSP) and 2) promotion and awarding of scholarships, and granting of financial assistance to students through Pan Kada Dia and other forms of student support. In effect, the second function of this office goes well beyond promoting and granting of scholarships to include student aid and assistance.
Mr Emir R Españo’s term as Director of this office is extended until 31 March 2014.
I take this opportunity to thank Mr Conrado Z Balatbat, former Director of the Scholarships Office, for his sixteen years of leadership.
I thank and congratulate Mr Españo for taking on board an added assignment.
