The Ateneo Learning and Teaching Excellence Center (ALTEC) of Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU) joined the Ibabao Youth Summit 2025 last June 9, 2025, with the theme “Ibabao Forward: YOUth Lead Towards a Sustainable Future”, to share the mission and opportunities of the Learning to Earning Pathways (LEaP!) Programme.
Held at the Ibabao Hall, Northern Samar Provincial Hall, the summit brought together youth leaders from all 24 municipalities of Northern Samar. It was organized by the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO), in partnership with the Northern Samar Youth Development Office (NSYDO), Pederasyon ng mga Sangguiniang Kabataan (PPSK), Provincial Youth Development Council (PYDC), and ALTEC.
By gathering youth leaders from across the province, the summit created a space for meaningful collaboration. It also served as an opportunity for connection, leadership, and sustainability training through workshops, forums, and breakout sessions. In one of the sessions, ALTEC Director Rogin Eribal shared the LEaP! Programme’s mission of journeying with young people to lead change in their communities.
The Ibabao Youth Summit 2025 stands as a testament to the power of youth leadership in shaping a sustainable future. Guided by the spirit of Compañerismo, ALTEC remains committed to accompanying young leaders of Northern Samar as they turn their aspirations into action—building inclusive communities, advancing the Sustainable Development Goals, and proving that every dream is worth pursuing.
