AdZU HS gets five-year PAASCU nod
AdZU High School marked another milestone as the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges, and Universities (PAASCU) granted them another five-year re-accreditation. This was relayed to the high school unit via fax on December 14, 2015.
“We are proud and happy with this latest achievement,” says AdZU High School Principal Fr. Stephen T. Abuan, SJ. “This is only an affirmation of the holistic and high quality education that we offer here in the Ateneo High School.”
The high school unit received its last recommendation from PAASCU in November 2010.This latest accreditation is valid until December 2020. Every five years, a team from the accrediting body visits member-schools to evaluate the performance of their programs, facilities, and services. The team particularly looks into the curriculum and instruction, faculty members, laboratories, and student services, among others.
“This is the fruit of hard work and most especially, of unity among the Ateneo High School family,” discloses Assistant Principal Rosie M. Hong. “The entire community worked as one to attain this goal.”
PAASCU is an accrediting body that ensures academic institutions keep their standards and continue to work on improving their programs and services. Ateneo de Zamboanga University was first accredited in 1978.
