AdZU Grade School Preschoolers Honored in 2026 Achievement Program

The Ateneo de Zamboanga University Grade School celebrated the accomplishments and milestones of its preschool learners during the Preschool Achievement Program held on April 8, 2026, at Multi-Purpose Covered Courts 1 (MPCC1), Salvador Campus.

Setting the tone for the celebration was Assistant Principal for Academics Ma. Doriza Faunillan delivered the words of welcome, inviting the community to honor the growth and achievements of the young learners.

A highlight of the program was the awarding of medals for proficiency, co-curricular, and special distinctions—recognizing the learners’ excellence, emerging talents, and commendable performance throughout the academic year. The awarding rites were led by Grade School Principal Ms. Elena B. Segurigan, together with Assistant Principal for Academics Ms. Maria Doriza L. Faunillan; Assistant Principal for Administration and Finance Ms. Rubilyn V. Aguidan; and Assistant Principal for Formation and Community Extension Ms. Sheryl R. Caguioa.

The Proficiency Awards were presented by MAPEH Department Chairperson Ms. Rossini T. Gregorio, while the Co-Curricular Awards were conferred by Science Department Chairperson Ms. Jacquiline E. Dorban. The Special Awards were awarded by Preschool BL Ralph Ashley Moderator Ms. Shelalein T. Grajo and Preschool BL Ralph Corby Moderator Ms. Eugenie T. Velario.

In a heartfelt message, preschool learner Zephanie Von B. Alvarez delivered the words of gratitude, expressing appreciation for the unwavering support and guidance of parents, teachers, and the school community.

The program concluded with a culminating presentation by the preschool learners, followed by a community singing of “Animo Ateneo,” led by Ms. Rossini T. Gregorio.

More than a recognition of achievements, the Preschool Achievement Program stood as a meaningful celebration of each learner’s journey—marked by perseverance, growth, and joyful discovery—as they reached another milestone in their early formation.
