The LIGHT Program continues to make strides in empowering educators, with recent sessions focusing on Socio-Emotional Learning (SEL) and Assessment and Evaluation. These training modules aim to equip educators with essential skills to foster inclusive learning environments and enhance student assessment techniques.
From December 7, 8, 14, 2024, to January 18 and 19, 2025, educators engaged in CEA 4: Socio-Emotional Learning, led by Dr. Dorothy Joann Lei Labrador-Rabajante, Dean of the School of Education at Ateneo de Zamboanga University. This session provided valuable insights into supporting students’ social and emotional well-being through interactive discussions and hands-on applications. Dr. Labrador-Rabajante’s expertise and dedication left a lasting impact, equipping participants with strategies to create compassionate and supportive learning spaces.

Following the success of CEA 4, educators transitioned into CEA 3: Assessment and Evaluation, facilitated by Dr. Raissa P. Austero, Program Coordinator of Graduate Studies. The in-person session took place on January 25-26, February 1, 8, and with the program concluding on February 9, 2025. This module emphasized the importance of effective assessment strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.
The LIGHT Program remains dedicated to supporting educators as they apply these learnings in their schools and communities. With the partnership of MEMBA, we continue to foster professional growth and impactful teaching practices. To all LIGHT Bearers, your dedication inspires us, and we look forward to seeing your continued progress!
