RUCJ COL MISSION

As a College of Law, the Ateneo de Zamboanga University College of Law’s mission is the formation of men and women honed by the exacting standards of Jesuit educational institutions into men and women of competence, committed to the cause of the rule of law, and conscious of their vital role in society and in their duty to serve the community, especially the poor and marginalized respecting each individual’s integrity and a deep abiding faith in God.

College of Law Program

The Ateneo de Zamboanga University Rosendo U Castillo Jr College of Law offers a four year non-thesis law program called the JURIS DOCTOR that integrates Jesuit teachings and values to mold future lawyers to be men and women for others- lawyers with a healthy respect for the rule of law and justice.

Objectives

  1. Train legal professionals who embody excellence and leadership in the practice of law;
  2. Create lawyers who contribute to the advancement of the legal profession and uphold human rights;
  3. Develop professionals who are able to express legal conviction in forceful oral and written communication substantiated by faith that does justice.
  4. Train lawyers enriched in the Ignatian Values who would take up the cause of the poor and victims of injustice who have no money to engage the services of lawyers.

Initial Admission Requirements

  1. Entrance Exam- Law School Qualifying Test (LSQT)
  2. 3 pcs – 2 X 2 picture – blue background
  3. 1 copy – Authenticated Transcript of Records (TOR)

The five Philippine Jesuit law schools — namely, the colleges of law of Ateneo de Davao University, Ateneo de Manila University, Ateneo de Naga University, Ateneo de Zamboanga University and Xavier University–Ateneo de Cagayan are delighted to announce that they have come together on this Ignatian Year 2021 to produce a collaborative law journal named Cogitant Legalis — Ateneo Journal of Law, Policy, and Advocacy.
