The University Safety Office is committed to ensuring a safe and healthy environment for everyone in the university community, including students, faculty, staff, and visitors. It follows the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards of the Philippines to prevent accidents, mitigate risks, and promote safety.
The University Safety Office operates under the Office of the Vice President for Administration and collaborates with the Safety and Health Council, which includes Unit Safety Officers. This council meets quarterly to develop policies, ensure compliance, and foster a culture of safety.
Additionally, the AdZU Safety Office conducts regular Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control (HIRAC) along with Safety Self-Assessments through Unit Safety Officers, who report hazards to the University Safety Officer. This approach prioritizes corrective actions and supports continuous risk monitoring for a safer campus.
The University Safety Office prioritizes safety and fosters a healthy, responsible culture, working to ensure a safe environment for everyone to learn and work.
The office promotes a culture of shared responsibility for health and safety at the University by implementing effective safety programs that ensure compliance with OSH regulations and empower stakeholders.
