To tackle Zamboanga City’s waste challenges, ACES dialogued with local government units, private enterprises, and academes on July 22, 2025 at the Garden Orchid Hotel to highlight solutions for sustainable waste management.
Partnering with the Spanish Red Cross and Philippine Red Cross, this initiative aimed to determine the pressing issues on waste problems. ACES Director, Mr Emir V Epino, promoted AdZU’s long-standing advocacy for Ecological Solid Waste Management, elaborating on proactive measures that minimize waste output through partnerships and campus-driven initiatives.
This huge step is in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal Number 12: Responsible Consumption and Production as this event was a testament to the power of collective actions. AdZU remains committed to this shared vision, leveraging its research and partnerships to drive meaningful progress in sustainability.
