The Ateneo Learning and Teaching Excellence Center (ALTEC) is proud to announce the launch of its innovative interactive courses through the LEaP! Programme. Designed to empower young people to learn, grow, and lead, these courses offer a fresh and engaging approach to learning.
A New Era in Learning
At the heart of the LEaP! Programme lies a commitment to nurturing the potential of young people and unlike traditional module-type learning, LEaP!’s interactive courses are crafted to be dynamic, light, and engaging. To achieve this, the programme offers a diverse range of courses tailored to meet the unique needs of adolescents and young adults, including Foundational Courses and Core Courses. Both of these ensure that participants are well-equipped to thrive in various facets of life.
The foundational courses are designed to instill essential life skills and values. Positive Youth Development fosters self-awareness, self-confidence, and emotional intelligence, laying the groundwork for a strong sense of self. Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) plays a critical role in safeguarding rights and promoting healthy relationships, ensuring that young people are protected and empowered. Meanwhile, Child Rights & Youth Participation empowers young individuals to take an active role in decision-making processes, giving them a voice in matters that affect their lives.
Beyond the foundational courses, LEaP!’s core offerings are geared towards guiding young people towards their goals. Pathways Orientation for Adolescents and Young People helps participants explore their interests and potential career paths, providing clarity and direction. Peer Coaching takes this a step further by developing leadership skills and encouraging peers to support one another in their personal and professional growth. Through these courses, LEaP! is not just teaching skills – it’s cultivating a community of empowered, compassionate, and forward-thinking young leaders.
All courses are available through P2E Padayon, the digital learning platform of the LEaP! Programme. This platform provides a safe, inclusive, and transformative space for young people to discover their potential and take part in building a better future.
Sakto Skills Serye: Empowering Young People
This September, the LEaP! Programme will launch the Sakto Skills Serye, a youth-powered, peer-led learning program designed for 15-24-year-olds. This program offers training opportunities to enhance their skills in resiliency, lifelong learning, leadership and organizational, effective communication, values formation and professionalism, and critical thinking.
By providing these resources, ALTEC and its partners reaffirm their commitment to creating a supportive and empowering environment for young people to grow and thrive.
