Here are some key takeaways from the respective resource speakers of the two-day event.
𝐌𝐫. 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐋𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬 emphasized the importance of taking care of your body as part of bringing positivity into your life and well-being.
𝐌𝐬. 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐞 𝐉𝐚𝐬𝐦𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐚-𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞 shared a compelling message on self-belief. Believing in yourself does not equate to the number of people believing in you. It only takes one person to put his belief in you and surely you can make a mark in this world. Identify that one genuine person who believes in you and slowly, everything will fall into place.
𝐃𝐫. 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐳𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐳 𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐧, 𝐑𝐍, 𝐌𝐀𝐍, 𝐌𝐃, 𝐋𝐋𝐁 highlighted the importance of self-improvement, describing life as “an Amazing Raise” not a race but more on “’Leveling Up”, and emphasizing the need to let go and trust in God, Let GO, and Let GOD.
𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐲. 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐮𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐳𝐦𝐚𝐧 highlighted the role of having self-confidence and self-motivation in achieving one’s goals. It does not matter what the naysayers say, as long as you learn how to stay focused, believe in yourself, and push forward despite challenges.
𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐄. 𝐎𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐧 discussed the concept of “reinventing the wheel”, emphasizing that fully embracing confidence requires the ability to adapt to change and continuously reinvent oneself.
The TED Talk sessions resonated deeply with students. Participants left with a renewed sense of self-worth, a stronger motivation to face challenges, and a deeper appreciation for positivity and open-mindedness.
The success of this event underscores the importance of platforms that encourage learning beyond the classroom, allowing students to gain wisdom from experienced professionals. Through SL in WAVEs, the university continues to foster meaningful engagement, ensuring that the values of service learning and community involvement remain deeply ingrained in its students and alumni.
As the university looks forward to more impactful sessions, the lessons from this event will serve as a guiding light, reminding everyone that with the right mindset and unwavering self-belief, Positive Vibes lang te! and Kaya’t Kakayanin!
