In our continuing efforts to explore new opportunities and establish strategic partnerships beneficial to the university, the Alumni and Career Excellence (ACE) Office, under the leadership of its Director, Mr. Conrado “Shing” Z. Balatbat, joined forces with the Advancement Office, headed by Mr. Ralph Chua, engaged with Century Pacific Food, Inc. (CPF) last March 6, 2025. Century Pacific Food Inc., a globally recognized company known for producing both local and export products, was represented by Ms. Irish Kalalang Marchan, Corporate HR Section Manager from their head office, alongside Ms. Geraldine C. Villacura, HR and Admin Manager, and Ms. Novie Rose S. Sundayon, HR Assistant, both of whom are based in Zamboanga City.

This collaboration aims to strengthen the connection between industry and the academe, fostering meaningful engagement to ensure better employment prospects for Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU) graduates. By partnering with industry leaders like Century, the university seeks to enhance career readiness, provide access to professional networks, scholarship opportunities, and offer real-world learning experiences to its students, reinforcing its commitment to academic excellence and holistic student development.
The group also conducted a courtesy visit with Fr. Rene, Vice President for Higher Education at Ateneo de Zamboanga University, who was in high spirits in supporting this partnership. Additionally, among the attendees from the university were Ms. Jennifer Reyes, Director of the College Admissions and Aid Office; and Ms. Mellany Naravasa, who represented the College and Guidance Counseling Office.
