AdZU Senior High Holds 2nd Bloodletting Activity in Partnership with Philippine Red Cross

October 13, 2025

The Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU) Senior High School, through its Infirmary, successfully conducted its 2nd Bloodletting Activity on October 10, 2025 (Friday), from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Faustino Wee Saavedra Building Lobby.

The event was held in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross Zamboanga City Chapter and in collaboration with the College of Nursing and the AdZU Red Cross Youth Club. This initiative aimed to promote the spirit of volunteerism and community care among Ateneans by encouraging eligible students, faculty, and staff to become life-saving blood donors.

Throughout the day, donors lined up to participate in the noble cause, guided by trained Red Cross personnel and assisted by nursing students who provided pre- and post-donation care. The atmosphere reflected both compassion and commitment—values deeply rooted in the Ateneo tradition of being “men and women for others.”

The success of this bloodletting drive underscores the AdZU Senior High School’s ongoing commitment to health advocacy and social responsibility. It also served as an avenue for students to witness firsthand the impact of simple acts of generosity—proving that every drop truly counts.
