RE : ATENEO SPECIAL RECOGNITION NOMINATIONS
Every year, the Ateneo de Zamboanga University sets aside a special day to recognize individuals or groups for their achievements in various fields which contribute significantly to the Peace and Development in Zamboanga Peninsula,Mindanao and the rest of the county. The selection process is overseen by a special committee of the Board which is chaired by DR TERESITA G MONTAÑO and composed of the following:

• MR HEZEKIAH A CONCEPCION, School of Liberal Arts
• MS MONABELLE B DELGADO, University Communications Officer
• ENGR ALDRINA A HITALIA, HRADO Director
• ATTY ARSENIO GONZALEZ JR, Former Chairman of the ADZU Board
• MR MARCO ALFINO V MIRANDA, Culture and Arts Director
As is customary, we ask the community to nominate deserving groups or individuals for any of the following:
Fr Eduardo P Hontiveros, SJ Recognition for Culture and Arts – bestowed on persons or groups who have made significant contributions to the promotion of culture and arts.
Archbishop Luis V Del Rosario, SJ DD Recognition – bestowed on individuals or groups that have shown great care for others especially in the religious, spiritual and/or social sphere of activity.
Ateneo Peace Recognition – bestowed to persons, groups or organizations, government or non-government, who have made significant contributions to the peace process and the culture of peace.
Mayor Cesar C Climaco Recognition – bestowed on individuals or groups or government organizations which have shown outstanding public service to the community.
Pro Deo et Patria Recognition – bestowed on individuals or groups who have shown outstanding and excellent service and generosity of life on behalf of others.
Honorary Doctorate Degree – bestowed on persons who have effectively worked for peace and development of the people of the nation, Mindanao or Western Mindanao.

We also would like to request the nominating parties to provide the committee with information about their respective nominees.
This year, the Ateneo Special Recognition is scheduled in September, 2015. Thus, to give the committee ample time for a careful and thorough deliberation, we ask that the nominations be submitted to the Office of the President on or befor
