The Nursing White Angels hit the home run in the Cheer Dance and Popular Dance Competitions as they were declared champion in both competitions held last December 1, 2009 at the Multi Purpose Covered Courts.
As the crowd looked on and cheered, the angels danced their way to the top in the Popular Dance Competition. They were closely followed by the Accountancy Tigers, placing second, out dancing the CSIT Griffins who placed third.
The adrenaline pumped as the Angels and Tigers had a one on one showdown for the fight to be hailed the best in the Cheer Dance Competition. The tigers were fighting to retain the crown while the Angels determined to be named new champion.
The Angels synchronized movements, tight routine, and classic rendition of Christmas as they donned on Santa Claus hats and brought gifts won them the title of this year’s champion. The Tigers, placing second, boasted of difficult jumps and their own rendition of Michael Jackson’s Thriller moves.
The Cheer Dance Competition is always one of the most awaited events of the Fiesta with the venue exceeding its maximum capacity and the audience’s cheers ringing loudest.
