The College of Education is now the School of Education.
This verticalization and restructuring was realized with the approval of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University Board of Trustees of a recommendation made by university president Antonio F. Moreno, SJ during the board meeting last month.
Education is the third college to be elevated. The first was the School of Liberal Arts, from College of Liberal Arts, followed by the School of Management and Accountancy, formerly known as the College of Management and Accountancy.
As a verticalized academic unit, the School of Education, with Dr. Evelyn Chavez as dean, will oversee the administration of all master’s and doctorate program in education.
The verticalization will take effect on April 1, 2010.
