Two Local Artists initiate Art Exhibit entitled “Bunga”

Esercazim Dante Sanchez and Rizalito “Zaldy” Jumawan will initiate an art exhibit on August 15, 2013 at the Ateneo de Zamboanga University Gallery of the Archipelago and Peninsula, Fr Eusebio Salvador SJ Campus.

The exhibit is entitled “Bunga” in line with the artists’ support on the essence of Mother and Child Relationship and effective breastfeeding.

Beautiful mother and child pieces were created and various mediums were used such as pen and ink, watercolour, and oil painting on canvas.

“We are inspired by the subject itself focusing on the expression and feelings of the mother and the child,” Jumawan shares.

“It is our belief that ensuring better child development through breastfeeding is a foundation of good and strong family ties initiated at home,” Sanchez also expresses.

Jumawan and Sanchez grew up and finished their studies in Zamboanga City. They are members of DALTANS arts unlimited and are awardees of various art contests in the Philippines.

Both artists also do landscaping, terracotta, wood and concrete sculptures, and commercial arts for earning.

Jumawan continues that the objective of their exhibit is to promote art and show how it affects people.

We are inviting artists and art enthusiasts to visit their art exhibit at the gallery which runs until September 6.
