Squeaky-Clean to
School: Good Hygiene Awareness

The Ateneo Peace and Culture Institute (APCI) presented the Squeaky-Clean to School: Good Hygiene
Awareness
, a student initiative project of Ms. Fritzie Lee Credo (2nd
Year, BS Business Administration).  The project aims to provide the
parents and children essential ways on how to maintain and improve good hygiene
practices that will improve the children’s growth, development and educational
performance.

There was a talk on good hygiene for the parents which was
given by Ms. Janed Chan of the Center for Community Extension Services
(CCES).  Simultaneously, the children were also entertained through
storytelling by Project Banig, headed by Mr. Kiko Alfino Miranda. The children
also received school supplies and personal care products donated by Hot FM,
Minds and Geo Sciences Bureau 9 Multi-purpose Cooperative, Southern Mindanao
Enterprises, and some private individuals.  Selected participants of the
project include 30 indigent children and their parents.

The project was held on April 13, 2013 (Saturday) at the
Community Alliance Evangelical Church (CAEC), Triplett, San Jose Road,
Zamboanga City from 1:00 to 5:00 o’clock in the afternoon.
