HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP

Consistent with its thrust, the Ateneo de Zamboanga strives to make Jesuit Education accessible to as many academically competent but financially needy individuals. At present, only about 23% is enjoying financial assistance from different generous individuals and corporations. With this, the Ateneo de Zamboanga University solicits and welcomes support from generous individuals and corporations who want to help usachieve this goal.

MEDICAL SCHOOL STUDENT SUPPORT

The goal of medical education is to produce physicians who are prepared to serve the fundamental purposes of medicine. To this end, physicians must possess the attributes that are necessary to meet their individual and collective responsibilities to society. With this, the Ateneo de Zamboanga University’s School of Medicine exists to help produce responsive and responsible physicians who will provide medical services and respond to the health problems of the people and communities in the areas particularly in Western Mindanao.

This gargantuan vision of the Ateneo School of Medicine is making possible by generous benefactors like the Nellie Kellogg Van Shaick, Jerome Foundation and Wee Bin Ah Scholarship program among others. We are happy to inform you that out of 100 medical students, 60% of its populace are enjoying scholarship grant. You too can be a part of the team, share your dream with us by gift giving.

COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP

The Ateneo de Zamboanga University strives to make quality education accessible to underprivileged individuals but who manifest exceptional quality. Moreover, the university’s ultimate goal is to have the means to provide financial aid to at least 50% of the total college populace. At present, from the 1,096 total scholars, 847 are subsidized by Ateneo. We believe all of this is a concerted effort from supportive alumni/aeand friends who believes Education is a vital force for a developing country like ours.

With this, the Ateneo de Zamboanga University solicits and welcomes support from generous individuals and corporations who want to help us achieve this goal.

This is a one-time donation intended exclusively for scholarships given to academically qualified individuals. The interest on the principal will take care of the tuition and other fees of many scholars over the years.

This grant covers full tuition and all fees for the entire duration of the four year degree program. A slightly larger donation will also take care of the allowance and books needed by the poorer scholars.

PROFESSORIAL CHAIR PROGRAM

The most essential part of the academe is the faculty members. They enrich the experiences of all students not only for a variety of perspectives for scholarly importance, but preparing and equipping students to live in a global society. This grant aims to reward and encourage faculty members to perform his or her duty beyond the call of time. To add, the Professorial Chair Program is awarded to faculty members of meritorious performance in teaching and creative work. These chairs may be assigned for specific academic areas such as information technology, languages, mathematics, nursing, philosophy, sciences, etc.

A Professorial Chair Program is established in two categories: Professorial Chair donation allows the donor to donate a maximum of 24, 000/year to support a qualified faculty member. An Endowed Professorial Chair on the other hand, is donated through an endowment that is maintained in perpetuity; only the interest income from the fund will be issued/used to support the professorial chair. An endowed professorial chair may be named after the donor’s name or after a person that the donor wishes to recognize.

CENTER FOR COMMUNITY EXTENSION SERVICES (CCES)

The Ateneo Medical Assistance for Doctorless Areas (AMADA) team in cooperation with DOH and CHO has undergone an agreement to help provide better access to health and medical assistance to the poor, isolated and depressed areas of Zamboanga City. The project is being carried out by two medical doctors and four community organizers under the management of the CCES staff.

With this noble objective, support from generous individuals like yourself is hereby enjoined to help realize this endeavor. Aside from cash gifts, donations can also be done in the form of medicines, used clothes, ready to-eat foods, medical equipment and other donations as you may see fit.

OTHER GIFT OPPORTUNITIES. Ateneo de Zamboanga University welcomes gifts-in-kind, such as medicine and other medical assistance for our AMADA Program, books and equipment for Libraries, computer equipment for our Computer Center, musical and creative instruments for our Center for Performing and Visual Arts program, constructional materials for our new campus at Divisoria and other gifts you may see useful for our school.
