SACSI leads ADZU commemoration of World Human Right’s Day

The Social Awareness and Community Service Involvement (SACSI) Office through its Advocacy and Development Program commemorated World Human Right’s Day on December 10, 2014 at the Ateneo de Zamboanga University Fr. Eusebio Salvador SJ campus.

Some of the SACSI volunteers went around the offices in the campus to give chocolates with a message saying that “Today is World Human Rights Day. We mourn and pray for the victims of the Maramag Bus Bombing. In solidarity with their families and human rights activists, we call for justice and peace.”

As they roamed around the campus, members of the community gave their prayers for the victims and survivors of the Maramag Bus Bombing. The Ateneans’ prayers were posted in bulletin boards around campus.

The prayers given symbolize the love and care of the Ateneo community for the victims, survivors and their families. ADZU is in solidarity with the bigger community in advocating for every human being’s right to safety and justice.
