The Ateneo Peace and Culture Institute (APCI) in cooperation with the Center for Performing and Visual Arts (CPVA) will be launching the “No2V Photo Advocacy” at the Gallery of the Peninsula and the Archipelago, AdZU La Purisima Campus.
The exhibit will feature around 200 photos of individuals with their peace statements and factoids. It will open on Friday, 24 February 2012 at 3:00 in the afternoon. The show will run until 09 March 2012.
NO2V is a conscious effort to recognize our own personal struggles and experiences of violence. It is a continuous reminder that violence cannot and should not be the automatic response to conflict. It is a challenge, to ourselves and to others, to always choose peace and to live our lives as bearers of that hope.
The event is part of the activities lined up by both offices in celebration of the National Arts Month 2012 and World Day of Social Justice. And it has been made possible with the support of Foto Speed Digital Studio.
Gallery hours are Mondays to Fridays 9:00am to 6:00pm and on Saturdays, 8:00am to 12:00nn. For more information about the exhibit, you may reach us at 991-0871 to 76 local 4301.
