It’s a new day and a new beginning. Everyone shook their jitters off, put their best game face on, and seized the day! School Year 2023-2024 officially begins!
The Ateneo de Zamboanga University jubilantly opened its gates to our faculty and students as they greeted the first day of the new academic year. To our freshmen, a wonderland-esque vibe awaits them for this year’s AdZU OrSem celebration. More curiosities will be appeased this afternoon as our newest members of the academic family will be heading over to the Multi-Purpose Covered Court 1 (MPCC 1) to experience the magic of the first days of college life in AdZU. Their journey into the looking glass in AdZU lasts until August 4, 2023.
To make sure that everyone enjoys their university experience to the fullest, we continue to put safety and security as our foremost priority. As such, even with the lifting of the pandemic alert levels, the university still highly encouraged everyone to practice minimum health protocols within campus such as wearing of masks and basic sanitation.
And still following eco-friendly practices, bottles, plastics, and Styrofoam materials are not allowed within school grounds. Clean-as-you-go or CLAYGO is also expected for everyone, so food wrappers, one-use containers, and other trash items should be disposed of into the proper waste bins found around campus.
Everyone’s active participation in keeping AdZU in tip-top shape is a must. As an Ignatian institution, Ateneans are expected to channel the core values of excellence, service, magis, and cura personalis.
Enjoy the day, everyone! May this new school year bring in more opportunities for learning and growth and let us all soar bravely into greater and more exciting heights.
