Students, teachers, staff, and alumni who have been part of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University are invited to join the Sing Giting Music Event. This is a song writing and singing search for the official theme song of ADZU’s Centennial Jubilee Celebration in 2012. In consonance with the Year of Citizenship’s main theme, “Ateneo, Duyan ka ng Magiting”, this music event aims on harvesting creativity from the members of the entire Ateneo community. This is also an effort dedicated for the International Youth Month Celebration this August.
Deadline for the submission of entries is extended until August 05, Friday, on or before 5 o’clock in the afternoon. The official updated contest form is available and you can click the link below to download. Interested participants may drop by the Social Awareness and Community Service Involvement (SACSI) Office at LRC Building Room 112-B, ADZU Main Campus and look for Joan Mae Barredo for more details.
Sing Giting highlights the three aspects of the Ateneo—the value of excellence, spirituality, and citizenship. ADZU is on its third consecutive year of celebrating its 100 years of tradition in forming the head, the heart, and the hands of every individual. This year, the institution is highlighting the Year of Citizenship with the theme “Ateneo, Duyan ka ng Magiting”, believing that the Ateneo is a cradle of heroic and engaged citizenship, moved by a spirituality that takes excellence seriously. And the institution wishes to harvest fruits of this tradition through creative production and “Sing Giting” is just one of the events that all Ateneans must look forward to.
This music event is organized by the University’s Social Development Council.
