MEMO TO : THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY
RE :IGNACIO DE LOYOLA FILM SCREENING
July has always been meaningful and special to us because it is the feast month of St Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus and the patron saint of Jesuit universities. This year, it is going to be more festive because, for the first time in Philippine history, the Jesuit Communications Philippines has brought to the big screen the life of St Ignatius through the film, IGNACIO DE LOYOLA. It shall have a nationwide premiere on 27 July, 2016. For us here in Zamboanga City, the film will be shown at Cinema 2 of KCC Mall de Zamboanga from July 27 to August 2, 2016.
In view of this, I am greatly urging our ADZU community to support this worthwhile endeavor of JESCOM by watching Ignacio de Loyola and inviting your family and friends to watch it as well.
This film hopes to inspire people, especially the young, through a cinematic portrayal of Ignatius as a soldier and sinner and his conversion as a saint. Thus, students in Grade 6, Junior High School, Senior High School, and those enrolled in all Philosophy and Religious Studies courses, are required to watch the film for curricular enhancement. Schedules and logistical arrangements shall be taken care of by the following cluster coordinators:
Grade School | MS ELENA SEGURIGAN Grade School Assistant Principal for Formation
|
Junior High School | MR HONEY ROD ALFARO Junior High School Assistant Principal for Formation
|
Senior High School | MR LUCIA LORELI MACROHON Director, SHS Office of Student Services
