Sixth day in the Octave of Christmas
Gospel Lk 2:36-40
Reflection: What do we hope for?
I was raised and grew up always going to the church. People of different religious organization in our parish had influenced me with different Catholic church teachings and one of which is being hopeful, be hopeful that God will fulfill all His promises.
Hope which God places in our hearts is the desire for the kingdom of heaven and eternal life, but being hopeful should also be accompanied with prayers because as we grow in age, we face various trials that come along our way which make us feel hopeless. We must be like Anna, who despite of her age, remained faithful and hopeful with God. But how do we grow in hope? It is through with the grace of the Holy Spirit, we should put our trust in the Lord, for it is in Him that we are able to the impossible things.
Now the questioned is, as we grow old does our hope favor God?
