Certificate in Professional Education (CPE)

The Certificate in Professional Education (CPE) is designed to prepare non-education baccalaureate degree holders to teach in the grade school, high school or college. It is a 24-unit program of professional education subjects and experiential learning courses that provides students with the academic and hands-on requirements needed to qualify for the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).

PED 512 Classroom Exposure on Facilitating Learning (2 units)
PED 513 Developmental Reading (3 units)

2nd Term
PED 521 Principles of Teaching (3 units)
PED 522 Classroom Exposure on Principles of Teaching (2 units)
PED 533 The Teaching Profession (3 units)

3rd Term
PED 531 Assessment of Learning (3 units)
PED 532 Classroom Exposure on Assessment of Learning (2 units)
PED 523 Educational Technology (3 units)
