The Center for Community Extension Services (CCES) successfully conducted the Sama Bangingi Education Council Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting at the Simariki School for Indigenous People on November 20, 2024. This initiative serves as a vital mechanism to gauge community participation in school and communal activities, aligning with CCES’s project deliverables in collaboration with the Assisi Development Foundation Inc. (ADFI).
The meeting emphasized the roles and responsibilities of parents, teachers, and community members while providing a platform to identify challenges and gather insights that will guide future programs. It also fostered a sense of unity and collaboration within the community, strengthening their collective commitment to education and communal development.
Facilitated by Ms Loreta R Sta Teresa, CCES Director, alongside Mr Wilbert Sajulga, Program Officer for Education, the activity was attended by Simariki School teachers and members of the community.
This engagement underscores CCES’s dedication to empowering Indigenous Peoples communities through education and inclusive participation, ensuring the sustainability and success of future endeavors.
