Business Management, Faculty and Staff Triumph in 5 km Run

The first event in the AtFest ’09 was the 5 km run last December 1, 2009 at 5:30 am. The runners took the five kilometre route from Pasonanca Park to the ADZU La Purisima Campus in the fight to outrun one another and conquer the gold.
In the men’s division, Business Management student Dan James Revandad won first. He was closely followed by Mark Tingkang from the Accountancy Department and clocking it at third was Mr Jonash Agura of the College of Science and Information Technology.
Ms Russel Tabuniar from the Faculty and Staff dominated the women’s division. Vanessa Nanding, an Accountancy student, clocked in at second place followed by High School student Airra Cavan for the third place.
Father President Antonio F Moreno SJ, as well as several Atenean health enthusiasts, also joined the event. The 5km run has become a tradition during the Ateneo Fiesta where members of the community get together to begin the day and Ateneo Fiesta with vigor and a spirit of healthy sportsmanship.
