Ateneo Fiesta Safety and Security Guidelines

MEMO TO: THE ATENEO COMMUNITY

RE: ATENEO FIESTA SAFETY AND SECURITY GUIDELINES


I wish to inform our community of the following GUIDELINES to be implemented during the Ateneo Fiesta on November 28-December 4, 2011 to supplement our existing UNIVERSITY GUIDELINES ON SAFETY AND SECURITY.

I. ENTRY

Only those who have legitimate IDs shall be allowed entry in the campus. Concessionaires, parents/fetchers, AdZU employees, students, alumni, and others are expected to wear their IDs AT ALL TIMES while inside the campus. Guests shall be allowed entry ONLY THROUGH GATE 2 (Near the Chapel) subject to AdZU protocol. Unauthorized use of AdZU IDs shall be dealt with according to AdZU policies.

December 2, 2011 (Alumni Homecoming): GATE 1 (Grade School Gate) shall be EXCLUSIVELY for Alumni and guests. GATE 2 (near the Chapel), GATE 4 (near the Jesuit Residence), and GATE 5 (near the MPCC) shall be for AdZU employees, students, non-alumni guests, and concessionaires.

II. PARKING

Due to the demand for space by the various ATFEST activities, NO PARKING shall be allowed inside the campus effective November 27, 2011.  Delivery vehicles are NOT allowed to park except for loading and unloading purposes. The Nuñez parking area shall be available on a “first-come-first-served” basis.

December 2, 2011 (Alumni Homecoming): On this occasion, the Nuñez parking area shall be reserved for Alumni Board and AdZU special guests. Parking is allowed along the streets of La Purisima, Camino Nuevo, and Nuñez. Entry of vehicles into the campus shall be up to 2:30 PM ONLY. Clearing of the campus for security purposes shall start at 3:00 PM.

III. CURFEW

All buildings shall be cleared and locked by 8:00 PM. Except on December 2, Friday, campus activities shall cease by 11:00 PM.

IV. SELLING/BRINGING IN OF INTOXICATING DRINKS

  1. Intoxicating drinks are prohibited in the campus. Unauthorized selling/bringing in of such drinks by individuals or by concessionaires shall mean confiscation of goods and the seller shall be ordered “immediate closure of booth”.
  2. December 2, 2011 (Alumni Night): On this occasion, the Alumni Association is authorized exclusive sale of beer to individuals or concessionaires. Otherwise, provision IV.a. above shall apply. All “drinking and smoking” shall be confined in the backfield.
