AdZU studs celebrate 152nd birthday of Rizal

On June 19, 2013, in celebration of Dr. Jose Rizal’s 152nd birthday, the Social Awareness and Community Service Involvement (SACSI) Office, through the Advocacy Program headed by Marjo Andrea C. Mequin, together with Raquel A. Salvacion and the office’s student volunteers have organized a freedom wall, a photo booth and a Jose Rizal trivia near the school’s catwalk, participated by college and grade school students.

According to some students, as written on the freedom wall, like Rizal they possess academic intelligence, nationalism, diligence, good looks, charisma and sex appeal. To justify these claims, students have posed in the photo booth as “modern Rizals” and have taken the challenge to answer few trivia questions about the national hero.

In line with this, SACSI has given prizes like sweets and school supplies to 191 students who have participated in the Rizal trivia. Among others, Anelyn C. Samson, the 152nd participant of the activity has received the jackpot prize of 152 one-peso coins.
