AdZU Student Journalists, advisers bag 66 awards in Nat’l Press Conference

The
Ateneo de Zamboanga University delegation to the 11^th National Media
Conference brought home a total of 66 awards and recognition earned in various
competitions during the confab. The Ateneo student journalists received 22 recognition for Campus-Based
Publication Division and 42 awards for group and individual On-the-Spot
Competitions. To add to this, two advisers made it to the top
10 for the advisers category. The delegation, composed of the grade
school, junior high school, senior high school, and college student publications,
was the biggest delegation to the event. The national media conference was
organized by the School Press Advisers Movement Inc and was held at the La
Carmela de Boracay last September 13-15, 2017.

 The
participants competed in these categories: Broadcasting; Journalism; Layout and
Design, Cartooning; Radio and Video Editing; and Photography. The advisers, on
the other hand, competed in news writing, copyreading and headline writing, and
campus paper management proposal making.

 The
