AdZU Prays for Peace
The Ateneo de Zamboanga University students, faculty, and staff gathered on July 25, 2014 at the Carlos Dominguez Hall for a discussion on the violence in Israel and Palestine. The forum “Humanity for Gaza: Understanding the Crisis” aimed to increase the participants’ awareness of the situation in the area and encourage them to pray for the resolution of the conflict.
The forum was made possible through the partnership of the Ateneo Social Sciences Department, Campus Ministry, SACSI office, and the Office of the Coordinator for Muslim Affairs. The speaker was Mr Roque Yusuf Morales. Father President Karel San Juan SJ also shared his challenge of peace to the participants and encouraged those present to be proactive in living out a life of justice.
