The
Mathematics Department of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University is all geared up
to host La Decima: Campamento Estadistico, the 10th Western Mindanao Statistics
Camp on January 26-28, 2018 at Kreutz Campus in Tumaga.
This
year’s theme is “Statistics in the games we play and in the businesses that we
do.” Activities, designed to promote statistical awareness and literacy through
innovative enjoyable means; create a pool of Statistics enthusiasts that are
responsive to the needs of the society; and provide a venue for schools to
interlink in an atmosphere of friendship towards community development in Western
Mindanao have been lined up for this three-day camp.
Hundreds
of Junior and Senior High School students from public and private schools are expected
to participate in this event. Aside from the teachers who will serve as camp
masters, a pool college students will also serve as facilitators of the
different activities.
