The Gallery of the Peninsula and the Archipelago (GPA) of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University (AdZU) will showcase the work of 13 local male artists in an exhibit aptly titled “Zamboangueño”.
The group exhibit will be launched on October 5 at 5:30pm and will be open to the public until November 6, 2010.
This activity is part of the gallery’s continuing effort to promote the arts and culture of the Western Mindanao and to give recognition to local artists
The thirteen participating artists are made up of professionals and hobbyists: Chrisel S Babol, Mark S Burda, Yochiko Joan V Dulatre, Ahl Qasmi Y Lakibul, Felix Anthony F Lim, Ferdinand M Limbo, Francisco V Lorenzo, Marco Alfino V Miranda, Romel Jesus ST Racho, Esercazim A Sanchez, Lintoy M Siason, Teofilo T Torino, and Darwin F Torres.
Around 60 artworks in all in various media will be featured.
This event is free of charge and coincides with the city’s celebration of Fiesta Pilar, the feast of the city’s patroness Nuestra Señora La Virgen del Pilar.
