AdZU Conducts Orientation Workshop on University Disaster Response Protocol

On November 18, 2024, the Social Development Office of Ateneo de Zamboanga University successfully conducted an Orientation Workshop on the University Disaster Response Protocol at the ZamPen Innovation Center, Lantaka Campus. The workshop aimed to enhance the understanding and implementation of the University’s Disaster Response Protocol among key personnel from various departments and offices of Basic and Higher Education units, including the Central Services unit.

The full-day program delved into each component of the specified protocol, emphasizing their importance in safeguarding the university community during emergencies. Participants actively engaged in discussions and gained a deeper understanding of essential procedures and protocols associated with disaster response. The workshop culminated in the refinement of protocols for each assigned unit, encompassing mechanisms for preparing situational reports, and procedures for purchasing, repacking, and distributing relief packs.

The workshop served as a crucial step toward strengthening the university’s preparedness and resilience in the face of natural and man-made disasters. Through this initiative, AdZU reinforces its commitment to creating a safe and secure learning environment for all its members in the community.
