On the occasion of the National Day of Peace and National Peace Conciousness Month, UNICEF conducted an essay-writing contest for college students in Mindanao with the theme “Children as Zones of Peace”. Of the four Ateneans who topped thecontest, our very own Ms. Karen Soler, a fourth year BSE Centennial scholar bagged the second place with her essay entitled “The Lights in the Road of Darkness”
