AdZU Bacatan Library and Marian College host a Seminar Workshop on K12
Learning Outcome-Based Assessment

The AdZU Fr. Jose T. Bacatan SJ Library, in partnership with
Marian College, hosted a Learning Outcome-Based Assessment seminar-workshop on
March 13 and 14 at the Marian College in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.

The two-day training program aims to equip our teachers,
especially those in the basic education, about the upcoming changes in the
Philippine education system starting with the K-12 basic education. The seminar-workshop
was participated by different colleges in Zamboanga del Norte such as
Philippine Advent College, Marian College, Medina College, Dr. Aurelio Mendoza
Memorial College, and JH Cerilles State College. Ms. Anita Tagadiad,
Professional Education Coordinator of School of Education and co-chair and
trainor of K-12 education in Ateneo de Zamboanga University, lead the event.
She was assisted by Ms. Lynnie Claingacion, American Corner Librarian/Assistant
to the Library Director, and Ms. Florinda T. Tabanao, American Corner and Fr.
Jose T. Bacatan SJ Library Director. The event was graced by Cynthia H. Ortega,
Principal, Basic Education of Marian College.

Day one of the workshop discussed the Analysis and
Evaluation of Quarterly Scope and Competencies. This topic was further
subdivided into a discussion of the various Categories of Knowledge Dimension,
Categories of Cognitive Process Dimension, and Analysis and Evaluation of the
Quarterly Examination. On day two, the workshop focused on K-12 Assessment and
Construction of Table of Specification.
