Admission Requirements

ADMISSION PROCEDURE AND REQUIREMENTS

1. Applicants are required to take the Graduate Record Examination. In addition, applicants to  the Master of Arts in Organizational Psychology need to take the Qualifying Exam for the program. 

  • a. Secure an application form for admission from the Graduate School Office.
  • b. Pay the examination fee at the Finance Office.
  • c. Schedule the examination with the Testing Center.
  • d. Visit the Graduate School Office for the examination results and for further instructions.


2. Applicants submit the following documents to help in the evaluation for admission. These are submitted after passing the entrance and qualifying exam. 

a. Photocopy of Transcript of Records

  • Master’s program: Bachelor’s degree TOR
  • Doctorate program: Master’s degree TOR 

b. Photocopy of Diploma

  • Master program: Bachelor’s degree diploma
  • Doctorate program: Master’s degree diploma

 c. Original copy of Honorable Dismissal from the last school attended

d. 1 copy of 1×1 picture 
e. Three letters of recommendations
f.  Statement of purpose

 3. Applicants undergo an interview.  The interview may be done by the Dean, Grants Manager (for CHED scholars), Asst. to the Academic Vice-President for Graduate Studies, and the Coordinator/Chair of the Graduate Programs of a school or college 

 4. Applicants whose degrees do not match the graduate program to enroll in may be requested to:

Master’s Program:
i. Take a  program-specific qualifying examination
ii. Take bridging courses

Doctorate Program:
i. Submit a proof of Independent Study and Publication for non-thesis Master’s program applying for a Ph.D. program
ii. Take bridging courses

5. International Students
a. In addition to regular admission requirements, International Students must take a written and an oral examination on English. Students with low proficiency are required     to enroll in a Remedial English Course before they are admitted to the graduate program.


b. Other requirements:

  • Php 15,000.00 International Student fee (to be paid in three semesters)
  • Photocopy of Passport and Student Visa
  • Photocopy of Permit to Study from Immigration (when necessary)


* All students are on Probationary Status until after all official documents required for Admission are submitted.

 All graduate programs are granted a CHED scholarship. Applications must be done by the students at the CHED National Office.  They must also be nominated by their Sending Higher Education Institution (SHEI).
