In celebration of Philippine Independence Day, the Ateneo de Zamboanga University community, through the Social Development Unit, invites the public to participate in the “National Signing Day: Freedom from Dynasties” on June 12, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at the Gallery of the Peninsula and the Archipelago, Salvador Campus, La Purisima Street, Zamboanga City.
This nationwide initiative seeks to encourage active citizen participation in advancing democratic reforms and strengthening accountability in governance. Through the signing campaign, citizens are invited to express their support for measures that address the challenges posed by political dynasties and promote broader opportunities for public representation and leadership.
As the nation commemorates its hard-earned freedom, the event serves as a reminder that democracy flourishes when citizens engage meaningfully in shaping a just, inclusive society. It is an opportunity for ordinary Filipinos to exercise their voice and contribute to ongoing efforts toward transparent, participatory, and responsive governance.
The signing activity is OPEN FOR THE PUBLIC, welcoming individuals, families, students, professionals, and community members who wish to take part in this civic engagement initiative.

• Only registered voters may sign the petition.
• Please bring a valid ID for campus entry. University security personnel will check IDs at the gate solely for entry screening and security purposes.
• Your ID will not be requested or used during the signing process.
• Signing the petition is quick, voluntary, and free of charge.
